Bad Sauna

Returning to Provinssi after years of waiting, Bad Sauna has established themselves as one of the top names in Finnish indie rock with their sound laced with distortion guitar rhythms and strong atmospheric music. The band´s debut album Olen rikas, sillä minulla on teidät (2020) received widespread attention and gained Bad Sauna the Newcomer of the Year award at the Finnish Indie Awards. With their second studio album Potslojo (2022), the band headed towards heavier and more gritty guitar sounds. The opening track from the release, Väsy, made Spotify’s international Fresh Finds Rock playlist, a rare treat for a Finnish rock band.

Bad Sauna’s third album, Kerro sille miltä susta tuntuu, released at the end of last year, follows the path of names like Pixies and Nirvana and dives even deeper into the layers of humanity, emphasising the importance of openness in better understanding – from the perspective of the individual, friends and band alike. Sincerely themselves, Bad Sauna doesn’t indulge in hand-warming or worn-out clichés – in their music, emotion is at the heart of everything, and it’s in every tune.
