Short introduction to Provinssi Festival
Provinssi is one of the oldest and best known music festivals in Finland. The festival was organized for first time already in 1979 so next summer is Provinssi’s 40th anniversary edition.
Provinssi has always presented both the hottest and freshest new acts and also the biggest international and local superstars. In addition to hi-level production services, Provinssi is also known for its unique atmosphere, due to its closeness to the wild nordic nature and the river crossing through the festival grounds.
During three fantastic days, Seinäjoki city is visited by a huge amount of people who enjoy music, art, Finnish summer and above all: the company of others.
Our record numbers are from 2011 when 81.000 visitors visited Provinssi over the three days. A daily record was achieved in 2016 when over 31.000 people watched Rammstein's massive show.
