What is Park of the People?

Among others, associations and various groups have annually been an important part of the Provinssi festival program with different workshops. Park of the People (Ihmisten Puisto) is Provinssi’s own community square, where people gather to relax and enjoy themselves with an open mind. In Park of the People, artists from the festival’s program stop to entertain, and festival-goers also set off different parades from this green park. The park serves as a meeting place featuring participatory spots, festival info, and other low-threshold places to explore during the festival hours.

Organizations and associations at Park of the People:

  • Lakeuden Sateenkaari (Local Rainbow organization)

  • KRIS

  • Luonnonperintösäätiö + Ikimetsän ystävät (Nature Heritage Foundation + Friends of the Ancient Forest)

  • Mieli ry (Mental health organization)

  • Finnish Red Cross Seinäjoki chapter

  • Rock Camp ry

  • Vegaaniliitto ry (Vegan Association)

Additionally, Ihmisten Puisto houses the festival info point and Provinssi’s Friend Tent. At the tent, Provinssikaveri volunteers are on hand, ready to be your buddy with a low threshold — for example, if navigating the festival alone feels intimidating or if you’re missing a concert buddy. Besides human friends, you can also meet furry companions when the Finnish Kennel Club’s therapy dogs arrive to delight the festival crowd. The Friend Tent also has a photobooth where you can snap a picture together with a friend. This lovely meeting place is maintained by TAVATA ry.

Provinssin Pride-kulkueessa kannetaan kylttiä, jossa lukee "Mie oon olemassa".
