Aili Järvelä

Known as a remarkably versatile musician and songwriter, Aili Järvelä has charmed audiences and critics alike with her ability to move naturally between genres and ensembles. She is also widely recognized for her sharp songwriting.

Her 2020 song Roihuvuori climbed Finland’s Spotify Viral chart and was voted among the 50 best Finnish lyrics of the millennium in a Helsingin Sanomat reader poll. Her latest solo album VUORI earned both a Teosto Prize nomination and an Emma Award nomination in the Critics’ Choice category. At the Indie Awards, the album was named Album of the Year, while Järvelä herself was voted Best Artist by the public.

Her sparkling stage presence and deeply moving lyrics make Järvelä’s live performances unforgettable experiences. Her latest album also features the Central Ostrobothnia Chamber Orchestra alongside her vocals. Järvelä will now make her first appearance at Provinssi, arriving with a four-piece band featuring exceptional musicians Sigurdur Rögnvaldsson, Jaakko Murros, Kalle Ylitalo and Janne Mathlin.
