Apulanta
Known for their uncompromising attitude, Apulanta has written its own chapter in the history of Provinssi. Next summer, we get to celebrate a major milestone in the story of the Festival of the People, as it will be exactly 30 years since the band first performed at Törnävänsaari. A lot has happened and the world has changed since 1996, but one thing is certain: when Apis takes the stage, the energy is guaranteed. At Provinssi, Apulanta delivers exactly what the audience loves: fiercely catchy choruses, gritty riffs, and an honest punk ethos brought into the present day.
Launched into national awareness from Heinola in the early 90s with a strong DIY spirit, Apulanta has carved its way into the ranks of Finnish rock giants. Songs that have become anthems for an entire generation, such as “Anna mulle piiskaa”, “Mitä kuuluu”, and “Pahempi toistaan,” are just the tip of the iceberg in the band’s extensive catalog of hits. Known for their spectacular live shows, this perennial favorite has never rested on its laurels. Over the years, they have conquered stages from the Olympic Stadium to major arenas, always hungry for new challenges. Even though the band has established its own Apulandia museum, there is no risk of them standing still.
What they have planned for next summer’s Provinssi audience remains to be seen, so come and witness a historic performance.
