Originally from Ostrobothnia, the artist released her debut EP Kaikki alko siitä mihin me loputtiin in autumn 2024. Her spring 2025 single Pussailen tyttöjen kaa became a major TikTok success and was praised for its honest, delicate lyrics and its portrayal of the emotional realities of queer youth. The song won Song of the Year at both the Indie Awards and the Queer Gala. Asla Jo has also gained recognition as an exceptionally captivating live performer.
