Free Carmen

Free Carmen is a new Finnish four-piece alternative rock band whose sound is firmly rooted in the power of live band playing and organic expression. Solstice I and Solstice II form the band’s independently produced debut album, inspired by the cycles of light and the passing of the seasons. The songs move like the year itself, from light toward darkness and back again.

The double album, drawing inspiration from the themes of the solstices, was released in two parts in 2025: on the summer and winter solstices, exactly six months apart. The band is currently touring Finland on the Solstice Tour, and this summer the tour bus will head toward Törnävä. Join the journey through the seasons at Provinssi, right in the middle of the most beautiful part of summer.
