Modem

Modem brings cool synth-pop to Provinssi, where the machine aesthetics of the 80s meet modern sensibility. Helsinki duo Tytti Roto and Ville Valavuo are long-standing underground artists whose shared vision of electronic pop has grown into a determined and distinctive entity.

Modem, who have been performing extensively in clubs and major festivals, have also been seen on European tours with their intense live energy. The duo, who do everything themselves, have built their own world from scratch: their music is recorded, mixed and self-published on the Modem Age Records label.

Their acclaimed debut Megalomania (2024) opened doors to international markets, and their second album Interface (2025) deepens their expression at the interfaces of identity, illusion and emotion.
