Now it’s time to celebrate, because after a 30-year career, Sur-rur is FINALLY coming to Provinssi for the first time ever! Good things have truly been worth the wait.

Sur-rur is a punk/alternative rock band formed in Lapua in 1996, often described as a cult band. Their latest album, Härveli, released in autumn 2025, was awarded the Critics’ Choice prize at the Emma Gala 2026. In 2020, the band’s album Hattarahiukset was nominated for the Teosto Prize.
A documentary film about Sur-rur’s long career, Aurinko ei mahdu, will premiere next summer. On stage, Sur-rur’s guitar-driven noise wraps deeply personal songs that can make you laugh and cry, and the band has a devoted fanbase.
