PROVINSSI 2025 BROUGHT MUSIC LOVERS TOGETHER
Just celebrated on Seinäjoki’s scenic Törnävänsaari, Provinssi 2025 gathered a total of 70,000 attendees.
The festival’s rich and genre-defying musical lineup offered unforgettable experiences for festivalgoers across three days. Audience engagement with Provinssi is stronger than ever, and the number of full-weekend 3-day tickets sold matched the record-breaking year of 2024.
“Provinssi weekend 2025 was, in terms of atmosphere and organization, an absolutely outstanding experience! Organizing a festival and selling tickets is by no means easy in today’s economic climate. Even though we didn’t reach our visitor targets, we are incredibly proud of the event. Thank you to all attendees, artists, staff, volunteers, and partners for creating the Celebration of the People with us,” says Festival Director Ville Koivisto on behalf of the entire Provinssi team.
The weekend featured unforgettable performances, including metal powerhouse Avenged Sevenfold, who fully lived up to expectations, as well as Electric Callboy and Lorna Shore, who stirred up massive energy at the Main Stage. JVG, Haloo Helsinki!, Erika Vikman, and Sexmane dazzled domestic fans with their star power on the Mainland Stage. Crowd favorites KAJ, Ege Zulu, and Lauri Haav brought the wildest party of the closing day to the Woodland Stage, along with earlier acts like Paperi T, Mirella, and Olavi Uusivirta.
A receptive and enthusiastic crowd also flocked to the Carlings, Radio Helsinki, and Amphitheatre by Soundi stages, enjoying a wide range of performances from the spellbinding Bambie Thug and rising pop star OLGA to metal bands Lähiöbotox, Luna Kills, and Lost Society. Other highlights included Finnish pop names like Nelli Matula, Jaakko Kulta, and emma & matilda, as well as folk music virtuoso Antti Paalanen, among many others.
“Provinssi is truly a music lover’s festival. Mosh pits erupted at both heavy and lighter music shows. There were also magical moments, such as surprise guest appearances from Käärijä and KUUMAA,” shares Head Promoter Aino-Maria Paasivirta.
The unique atmosphere of the Celebration of the People was elevated by diverse on-site programming, like the Sol Sunny Side dance oasis, which featured DJ sets ranging from Emodisko to Jytää ja iskelmää, a Finnish disco club concept. Dance fever continued at the already iconic Jytälato barn stage. The natural beauty and functionality of the festival area, combined with annually refreshed visual elements and high-quality services, received widespread praise. New highlights included the sold-out Glamp Provinssi luxury tent village and the immensely popular Car-A-Oke car karaoke.
A core value of the Celebration of the People is inclusivity, exemplified by the ongoing Pride Month, which was celebrated together with Lakeuden Sateenkaari through a Pride Parade. The police also expressed appreciation to festival attendees and the event’s entire safety organization for their excellent work in ensuring everyone’s safety.
Preparations for next year are already underway, and Provinssi, which has been organized since 1979, will return to the legendary Törnävänsaari from June 25 to 27, 2026. 3-day ticket presales will start on Tuesday, July 1st at 11:00 AM. Special-priced Presale Tickets will be available for a limited time until Sunday, July 6th at 11:59 PM, along with a limited selection of accommodation packages.
